Summary

The protagonist views Christopher’s body in the police station. The protagonist feels oddly numb and stunned at the sight of the body. After the protagonist goes back to the hotel and informs Christopher’s parents of the situation, they immediately fly out to Greece. In conversation with the protagonist, Isabella expresses her love and grief for Christopher, but she also acknowledges that Christopher likely suffered from sex addiction. She also says that she takes solace in the knowledge that Christopher was loved by the protagonist, as the love of a wife is special, according to Isabella. Later, as the protagonist packs up the belongings that Christopher had brought to Greece, she notices an ad that Christopher had circled in a magazine.
