Chapter39-40 Summary and Analysis

Plans for the assassination of Heydrich began in August 1941, even through they didn't carry out the plot until after Pearl Harbor. One of Heydrich's duties was the solution of the Jewish question. The BSC knew Hitler believed in astrology so they planted a story about his horoscope showing that a dangerous evildoer will die in four months. They paid an astrologer to publish the information that they wanted. Heydrich submitted his plan for the destruction of the Czech nation; the plan called for the extermination of a large number of people. He plans a trip to Berlin on May 27, 1942 to discuss the plans.
