Summary

In "Infinite Happiness," the first person narrator A.J. and his friend Micah run errands prior to picking up Micah's girlfriend Cody from the airport. At breakfast, Micah makes comments about the waitress’s body and says he will have to "put his booty-goggles back into storage" now that Cody is returning (159). Since she has been away, Micah has been chasing women and philandering. A.J. thinks about how he has always been fascinated by men like Micah, "those men we called, casually, 'pimps'"(161). When A.J. is young, he tells his Uncle Max, who raises him with his Aunt Leigh, that he wants to be a pimp. His uncle hits him in the face with his ring. Back at Micah's apartment, A.J. watches Micah clean up from his night with another woman. Micah teases A.J. about not going to parties...
