Summary

Chapter 7: Growing Up – Though Saroo remembered his birth family and his birth home in India, by high school he had very much become a Western teenager. He had posters of bands on his walls and considering himself a proud Tasmanian citizen, or Tassie. Saroo could not help but think about his mother and siblings as the years went passed. As he got older, he began to enjoy his social and sporting life too much. So Mum and Dad gave him the ultimatum of going to college, going to work, or joining the military. Saroo decided to double-down on his studies. He ultimately gets into the Australian International Hotel School in Canberra after college in 2007.
