Summary

Anna receives a letter from her mother. Since Harry ran away from home, Anna’s mother did not have any way to contact them after Harry’s death. Recently, she found Harry’s family address and hopes to contact his sister, Mary. Anna thinks this is futile, as Harry ran away almost 60 years ago. She stops reading to go to the beach, but finds a turtle caught up in branches. She knows she is not supposed to disturb it, as people like Collette believe that is messing with nature, but Tom arrives and helps free the turtle. Tom then kisses Anna before apologizing. Anna writes to Fran and says she loves Tom, but thinks her age might be a deterrent.
