Weetzie Bat is a slow-paced story that enthralls the reader. Block achieves this by incorporating different literary qualities into the work. The most noticeable of these is her narrative style, or voice. Block uses a third-person limited narration in her work, a style that allows the reader to experience the thoughts and feelings of the main character.
