In this variation on the Cinderella story, Ella, her family, and servants live in Kyrria, a fanciful kingdom bordered by Ayortha and Bast. It is a land of castles and fairies and magical forests. Ruled by King Jerrold, Queen Daria, and Crown Prince Charmont, the country is peacefully inhabited by Kyrrians, gnomes, elves, and gentle giants.

Talking birds, hydra, centaurs, and baby dragons are displayed in the royal menagerie. Villainous ogres who "know your secrets by just looking... and use their knowledge against you" are enemies to all.
