Henry Morgentaler

About the author: Henry Morgentaler is the founding president of the Humanist Association of Canada and the author of Abortion and Contraception. He has opened abortion clinics across Canada, often in the face of strong opposition.

Contrary to what pro-life activists and even some defenders of legal abortion believe, abortion is an extremely moral choice that benefits women and society. Access to legal abortion upholds women's right to control their destinies and allows children to be born into homes where they will be loved and cared for.
