Al-Anon is a fellowship of men, women, and children whose lives have been affected by an alcoholic family member or friend. Members share their experiences, strength, and hope with one another to help each other and perhaps to aid in the recovery of the alcoholic. A source of information on how to help people cope with this disease and listings for Al-Anon meetings around the nation. It was started by Lois Wilson, wife of one of the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous. Alateen is a fellowship of young people who share their experiences, strength, and hope with one another to help each other recover from alcoholism. It is based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous.
