Italian riding master and pioneer of equestrian arts. In 1532, Grisone founded a riding school near Naples, which became a center of equestrian education for the next century. The first known riding teacher to write on the sport, Grisone in 1550 published Gil ordine di cavalcare, a manual of horsemanship.
