EcoNet is a computer network that focuses on environmental topics and, through the Institute for Global Communications, has links to the international community. Several thousand organizations and individuals have accounts on the network. EcoNet's electronic conferences contain press releases, reports, and electronic discussions on hundreds of topics, ranging from clean air to pesticides. Subscribers can also send e-mail to other users throughout the country and around the world. EcoNet is a branch of ICG Internet, as are PeacNet, WomensNet, and AntiRacismNet.
