How did Charles Coulomb develop the Coulomb's Law?

i really need every detail in his discoveries..i will include it in making a sript for the role playing 'bout his life..

Coulomb developed Coulomb's Law as a result og his investifation into the law of electrical repulsions, as stated by Joseph Priestley of England. He invented sensitive apparatus to measure the electrical forces used in Priestley’s law and went on to published his own findings in 1785–89.
