hypoxaemia means reduced oxygen tension within the cells.Oxygen and carbondioxide are the two gases that are in equilibrum with the body acid base status.This means that hypoxeamia means high carbodioxide in the cells .This is a stimulus for increased respiratory rate by the respiratory centre of the brain that inturn lead to EXHALATION OF AIR WITH INCREASED INHALATION OR TIDAL VOLUME.More oxygen is brought in by the lungs and carried by haemoglobin to the tissues to increase the level in the cells and stop the hypoxic condition.
