(x )(x ) ( -8)( +8)

(x-8)(x+8)=0

check:

(x-8)(x+8)

(x)(x) (x)(+8) (-8)(x) (-8)(8)

x^2 +8x -8x -64

x^2 -64

Simplify:

x-8=0

Solve:

x-8=0

x-8+8=0+8

x=8

Simplify:

x+8=0

Solve:

x+8=0

x+8-8=0-8

x=-8
