Paris and its monuments

Olivier, Françoise tells me you want to visit the Eiffel Tower. Do you want to go this weekend?

Saturday, I'm playing basketball with Théo and some friends. But we'll probably finish around four o'clock. Can we go after... around five o'clock, maybe?

We can all go! A friend recommends a nice café.

It's in French. Here is the translation to English:

which is not far. We can have dinner there after our visit to the tower, can't we?

Laurent is a gourmet, so he looks at his wife with an uncertain look.

Laurent: What kind of cuisine? And who is this friend?

Françoise: Hey, oh, Laurent! It's fine! They serve traditional cuisine and it's of good quality. It's Juliette who tells me it's nice.

Laurent starts to say something else, still with his uncertain look.

But, with enthusiasm and her hands in the air, Françoise continues.

Françoise: And... and they have a beef tenderloin that you're going to love, my dear! Also, there is a panoramic view of the Military School.

She signals her triumph with her hands. Laurent is not completely ready to accept this proposal.

Laurent: With pepper sauce?

Françoise: Of course, my dear! And fries!

Now, she has a look that signals that everything is decided.

Me, I'm tired after this exchange, but Françoise's enthusiasm inspires me to go to this fabulous cafe.

In the meantime, I do a little research on the Eiffel Tower.

The Eiffel Tower is named after its engineer, Gustave Eiffel. This gentleman created the monument for the Paris World's Fair in 1889. Now, it is considered a symbol of Paris and has almost seven million visitors each year. It is tall, with 108 floors and 1665 steps. I am very happy to be able to visit it. I don't know if the Eiffel Tower is my favorite monument of all the Parisian monuments, but it is a pleasure to visit many monuments to form an opinion!
