What does Adarlan represent?

Adarlan symbolizes the disruption of peace. The kingdom has a long history of imperialism, which contributes to Yrene’s immediate hatred of Chaol and Nesryn due to their association with Adarlan’s royal forces. Now, although King Dorian’s new leadership is more diplomatic than his father’s reign, Adarlan is in the midst of a brutal battle against Erawan.
