Though mostly written in English, there are many cultures and time zones involved in Time's Eye, exposing the reader to a broad cross section of history and circumstance. Time's Eye begins with the first bi-peds on the planet and their interpretation of their surroundings, and from there we are taken to technology, that exceeds what we know today, in the year 2037—involving phones that have communicative intelligence and interactive ability. From there, the reader is taken to 1885 and the British fort of Jamrud where words like "puttees" and "tommies" are mixed with the language of the 72nd division of the Highlanders.
