What happens with Genji initially tries to seduce Princess Asagao?

He sends her notes expecting sweet replies in return, but she remains very cold. She does not wish to have anything to do with Genji. She does not wish to become one of his many conquests. Genji travels to visit her in a further attempt of seduction. Princess Asagao turns him down again.
