Significance of Kali

When they observed that Octavia was showing signs of becoming senile, the aquarists procured a new octopus - Kali. The situation was unfortunate because Octavia laid eggs to everybody's surprise and continued to live for much longer than was expected. This left Kali to live in a pickle barrel, which was too small of a space for this energetic young creature. They moved her to a tank of double the size after some months, but she escaped through a tiny hole (less than three square inches) and dried out on the floor.
