The Secret History of Wonder Woman

What about Marston’s personality do you think made it so he directly used elements from his life in his Wonder Woman comics? (e.g. Wonder Woman wearing bracelets like Olive, characters having very clear real-life inspirations)

Many things from Marston's life ended up as thinly veiled versions in Wonder Woman. Why did Marston like to do this?

Marston's life does show itself in WW. You are correct about the bracelets and career aspirations of WW being similar to Olive. Martinson explored certain sexual interests like bondage. Variation of women being tied up and shackled showed up in almost every frame of his early comic books.
