Who is Inna from The Red Tent and what is their importance?

Inna is a healer. She is also the midwife in Haran. Good friends with Rachel, Inna begs to join Jacob's tribe when it leaves for Canaan because she has been threatened by men in her village. She also foresees that Dinah will always live near water.
