How does the story, Beyond the Cake, end?

Beyond the Cake ends with Eduardo reading his paper out loud to Betsy. In his paper, Eduardo explains how “the decades long conflict [in Colombia] had finally been successfully resolved” (250). Betsy tells him his paper is perfect.... that he shouldn;t change a word.
