Calry is the young, black girl who is tasked with watching after the first little boy. She falls asleep on the job, and when the little boy gets into trouble, Uncle Remus chastises her and threatens to tell on her. Carly begs Uncle Remus not to t ell,and he promises to relent if she agrees to help him get the little boy cleaned up before taking him home to his mother.
