After Strepsiades enters The Thinkery, the Leader of The Chorus of The Clouds speaks on behalf of Aristophanes. The Leader says that the audience is smart and he's always been respectful, and never repackaged an old play as a new one. Further, the Leader suggests that the audience charge Cleon with theft and bribery.
