Victor kidnaps Lissa so that she can heal him. He has a particular disease that will slowly kill him. He has plans to overthrown the current royal house. He insinuates that he has thousands of followers, but that he is not well enough to lead them. He hopes to lead a war against the Strigoi as Tatiana's heir. He wants to use Moroi magic as a weapon. At first she refuses to heal him, but he tortures her and she agrees. Once she heals him, she collapses. He will require constant healing over a long period of time.
