Part of the agreement to let Rose stay at the school was that she receive private tutoring from Dimitri in regards to guardian training. They spend a lot of time together and they become attracted to one another. He becomes more than her mentor, and becomes her friend. They would both like it to be more, but conventions don't allow for it.
