Significance of Angels

Angels represent people who help others. The story has numerous instances of Christian imagery or references, and this is just one of them. The Paquette family considers the Cruzes to be angels because they are going to help them keep their farm. Later, Mr. Cruz considers all the friends who helped them during their times of trouble to be angels.
