What does McMurphy see as his ticket out of the mental ward?

McMurphy first offers to break the windows of the ward, but the men tell him they are break proof, so he then offers to break the windows with a chair,but that too is denied to be realistic. Eventually, he bets the men that he can move the large metal control panel in order to escape.
