The Acevedo family house symbolizes stability. When Olga and Prieto were young, their grandmother purchased the house, believing that she was achieving a facet of the American dream. Despite the many changes that have altered Olga and Prieto's childhood neighborhood, the house remains a fixture in Sunset Park and in their familial lives. The space grants them assuredness amidst their rapidly gentrifying city.
