Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle lives in an upside-down house, though not every room is upside-down. The narrator notes that it would be impossible to wash dishes in an upside-down sink, for example, so some of the things are right-side-up. The chandelier is on the ceiling of the living room, but the ceiling is at the bottom of the room so that everyone walks on the ceiling.
