Who is Mr. Snuggly in the novel, Midnight Crossroad?

Mr. Snuggly is a cat who is Fiji’s familiar – an animal that is to serve a young witch by protecting her as she matures in her powers. His presence helps readers understand why Fiji doubts her powers as she is still growing into them. Mr. Snuggly is lazy and does not like getting wet, but he overcomes both characteristics to report Fiji's kidnapping and find her, thus doing his job. His observations also lead to discovery of the bug in the pawnshop.
