Mr. Ludloe is a mysterious man of means, who takes Carwin under his wing in the "Memoirs of Carwin the Biloquist". He is introduced as Carwin's enemy in "Wieland" and is accused of stealing from him. Carwin, however, protested that Ludloe fabricated the theft, as well as a murder charge against him.
