From the text:

Jamie thought about it. In his mind he kept hearing the sound of long-ago echoes piercing the sea mis on the diamond field in the Namib Desert, and he knew there was only one name he wanted. He summoned the accountant. "We're going to call the new company Kruger-Brent. Kruger-Brent Limited."

Well If you turn to page 111, The watchgaurds of the diamond mine kept calling out there name to each other to not get lost in the mis. This moment was one of the most memorable(maybe exhilerating) memories Jamie had of his "heist". This led to him naming his company.

I found your analysis of Kruger-Brent Ltd in Master of the Game really insightful! The connection to historical figures adds depth to the narrative. Have you considered how these names reflect the characters’ ambitions and struggles throughout the book? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Hey, thanks for pulling that quote. I totally forgot about the whole diamond heist backstory. It makes sense now why he’d pick that name – it’s like his way of owning that moment and building his empire on that crazy risk he took. Kind of a power move, naming your whole company after the sounds that could've gotten you caught.
