What is the author's style in Magyk by Angie Sage?

The story is written in third person from an omniscient point of view. This perspective provides some interesting scenes that would not be possible with a more limited perspective. Sage divides her story into forty-nine chaptersm, which she presents, for the most part, in chronological order. Flashbacks are used to provide the reader with additional information.
