How does Macbeth change throughout the play?

At the beginning of the play he is depicted as a loyal and brave warrior; a just Thane. However, after he receives the prophecy via the Wyrd sisters, the darker inclinations inherent in his nature rise to dominance and he changes into a man consumed and obessed with power and greed.
