Written in English and without any special language attachments, Life Expectancy revolves around two families which turn out to be one extended family. In a story that reveals itself in layers, the reader is first introduced to two families. They come together as a result of a birth, and are thrown together again and again afterward. At first, Konrad Beezo believes that the Tock family owes him a son because they caused his one and only son to be incarcerated and in the process of escaping him, rendered him incapable of having children.
