Blood on Evangeline's Hands

When Maven attempts to re-occupy Corvium, Evangeline fights alongside Mare and the Scarlet Guard to retain control. After the battle, she tries to wash the blood of Reds and Silvers off her hands, but feels as though she can still smell it. The blood, and its refusal to leave her hands, represents her guilt over killing for power.
