I think the Moose and Fred Kelly change Saul's mind. Saul has a chance to become great: to make the NHL. They can live vicariously through him. Saul can't change the past but he can change the future not only for him but other Indian boys as well.
Saul's transformation wasn't just about skill, but also about mindset, like beginning to understand the value of discipline and personal sacrifice in achieving long-term goals.
As he trains, Saul becomes more disciplined, confident, and determined. He begins to believe more in his abilities as a player.
I like how Saul’s decision to play for the Marlies shows his growing determination. His training also highlights how much discipline and confidence he develops as he works toward his goals.
