Leonard Ellis is a resident of British Columbia who runs a bear-viewing tour company but who formerly was a famed bear hunter in North America. After conservationists bought licenses to hunt off of him and slowly prevented his making a living by killing the animal with tourists, Ellis turned to bear-viewing as his livelihood, but with bitterness and a great deal of resentment at the change.
