What is Evil Forest?

The Evil Forest is a symbol of fear and condemnation. All those children who Ichulu has deemed cursed, are sent to the Evil Forest to die. Ofodile even considers abandoning Ijeoma here when he realizes she cannot speak. When the village learns that Jekwu is born with teeth, they immediately bring him to the forest. However, despite her fears, Ijeoma endeavors to save the child, venturing into the forest alone to feed him. These images reveal Ijeoma's determination to combat fear and tribulation with boldness and faith.
