The story is written in third person with the point of view coming from several different characters. This allows for an omniscient view that gives the reader detail in regard to what each person is thinking. While the point of view in the story will come from many different characters, the two characters in the story that are most often shadowed are Dr. Henry Conklin and his nephew Sam Conklin.
