In Chapter Eight, Brittany accused Gerrard of getting a patient pregnant, and he showed the video to the director. Brittany was fired and the allegedly pregnant woman died two days later. Brittany believed that Gerrard killed her with an overdose. Soon after, Brittany’s body was found in a ditch behind the bar where she had been drinking. Lindsey believed the same people who had killed Nelson had injected her with an overdose. Bruce blamed himself and Lindsey for Brittany’s death, Lindsey reasoned the deaths were caused by mistakes on Brittany’s part.
