Brave New World Has Bernard’s dissatisfaction with the world really just been anger at the fact that he doesn’t fit in?

I think that Bernard’s initial dissatisfaction with the world was more than simply not fitting in. His critical appraisal of society was more thoughtful than bitter. He truly seemed depressed over the lack of commitment, lack of loyalty, and lack of empathy that was considered the norm in society. In chapter six, Bernard hovered over the English Channel to provoke Lenina into feeling something real. Bernard's rebellion felt like something much more than feeling like an outsider.
