Mrs. Adams is condescending, deceitful, selfsih and greedy. She thinks of no one but herself, except when she is attempting to marry her daughter off to the highest bidder. Note, she is worried about her daughter''s happiness, but rather, what a prospective husband's wealth can do for her.
