What is the setting of A Knight of the Word by Terry Brooks?

A Knight of the Word takes place in a fictional world in which there are demons and fairy type creatures. These beings fight in a war between the Void and the Word. The world that the story takes place in is much like the real world and the majority of the people in the world don't realize that there is this epic battle being waged around them. Seattle is where much of the story takes place, but Seattle is different from what is known in the real world. The Seattle in the story has been rebuilt after massive destruction. The new city has been built over the old city. The city that was built over has the homeless living in it but is seen only one time when the demon goes to hunt for people to kill.
