Who is the antagonist in the novel, A Good Neighborhood?

Brad Whitman is Valerie’s new white neighbor, who moves into the yard adjoining her backyard with his wife Julia, daughter Lily, and step-daughter, Juniper. Brad is the owner of Whitman HVAC, making him very wealthy and a local celebrity. Brad is undoubtedly the novel’s villain, due his sociopathic desire to manipulate people for his own benefit, as well as his racism and predatory behavior towards Juniper.
