Who is Audrey and why does she come to the cat colony in the novel, A Dog’s Way Home?

Audrey is a veterinarian and animal rescuer. Lucas has called Audrey to help capture and adopt out the remaining cats in the feral cat colony. She helps and is there when Bella is discovered.
