Ser Barristan Selmy from A Clash of Kings was once considered the best knight in all of the Seven Kingdoms. But when Joffrey comes into power he dismisses him as being too old. Barristan goes to fight with Renly, but when Renly is killed he disappears. Later, he reappears with Belwas and helps Daenerys.
