Lord Eddard Stark from A Clash of Kings only figures into this installment in the series as a flashback and a painful memory to his family. He was beheaded when he was exposed as a traitor. In reality, he discovered the truth about all of the offspring by Cersei Lannister. None of them had Baratheon blood in them.
