Lord Balon Greyjoy from A Clash of Kings is Theon's father, and also Asha's father. He is the lord of the Iron Islands. He has declared himself the king of the islands, but the rebellion that he started up many years ago was put down by Robert Baratheon. With there being no clear king in charge, he believes that it might be time to try again.
